On a blustery day in Lakeview…
We were out in style, painting a mural with folks at the Lakeview East Festival of the Arts (September 9). Urban Gateways teaching artist James Jankowiak got the mural going and welcomed passersby to the table to add their own creative flair. Plus, Urban Gateways touring group Ayodele gave a lively dance/music performance and got their audience grooving to West African rhythms. The wind was blowing, the sun was shining, the paint was flowing… And now for some beyond cute photos of the little ones (and the not-so-little ones) dancing & mural-making:
