The Roots of Black Dance in America (Joel Hall Dancers) – This performance delves into the roots of Black dance in America, from traditional African dance, to the social dances of the 20s, to concert jazz dance of today. Through audience participation and demonstrations, the audience will learn what separates Black dance from other dance forms, gaining a better understanding of the overarching theme of community, and how it exists in our daily lives.
