Trasha Embry joined the Urban Gateways Board of Directors in 2020 and is an Executive Director and Assistant General Counsel for JPMorgan Chase. As a member of the Legal Department, Trasha currently advises the Business Banking segment on matters relating to commercial lending, cash management, data privacy, marketing and communications, and government and not for profit banking. Prior to joining Bank One (JPMC predecessor) in 1999, Trasha practiced commercial finance and banking law at several law firms in Chicago. Trasha is a former member of the Saint Xavier University President’s Advisory Council and regularly participates in pro bono legal activities including as a member of the JPMC Legal Diversity Committee and by volunteering with Equip for Equality’s Special Education helpline. She received her J.D. from The University of Virginia School of Law and her B.A. from Northwestern University in Political Science.
