Tom Abrahamson joined the Urban Gateways Board in 2002 and served as Chair as well as on the Executive and Board Governance Committees. He is now an Honorary Member. Executive Counsel and previously Chairman at Lipman Hearne, Tom is known for innovation in nonprofit marketing and brings more than 35 years of success and leadership in the field. Prior to joining Lipman Hearne, he served as Associate Vice President for Enrollment Management and Dean of Admissions at DePaul University in Chicago. Tom is a leader in the marketing profession, having served as a member of the American Marketing Association’s Board of Directors, Chairman of the AMA’s Foundation Board, and Committee chair of several national AMA marketing conferences. Tom’s nonprofit volunteer leadership includes the board chairmanship of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Metropolitan Chicago, and he is currently a member of the Board of Trustees of Dominican University.
