Nicole Beck has completed many public art commissions and is exhibited nationwide. In Chicago, her work can be found at DeVry University, the ESPN Zone, the WestTown Chicago Avenue business corridor, Lake View’s Sheil Park, and Lincoln Park on Clark Street.

Nicole has just completed a $250,000 sculpture commission for the University of Illinois Urbana for the main entrance to the new building for Electrical & Computer Engineering. “Amplifiers” is a project for the Capital Development Board of Illinois’ Art-In-Architecture Program. She also has permanent works in the public art collections in the Chicago locations already mentioned, Orland Park, IL, Blue Springs, MO, and Sarasota, FL. Her work can be seen at

Nicole has extensive experience in creating collaborative public artworks with her students. At Urban Gateways she has led projects for the Elgin Police Station, Chicago Public Schools Administrative Offices, Chicago’s Morganway Community Park in Auburn-Gresham at Perspectives, Epic Academy at 83rd & South Shore, Burke Elementary in Washington Park, and for Healthcare Alternative Systems in Back-of-the-Yards. She has also been a Visiting Artist at Western Michigan University in their SculptureTour Program.
