Kendrick Cox is a global HR executive with 25+ years of HR experience across a range of industries including financial and professional services, insurance, healthcare, and multi-unit retail. Kendrick relocated to Chicago in 2005 from his hometown of Washington, D.C. and is the Vice President, Global People Director, Places GBA with Arcadis NV, a global design, engineering, and management consulting company based in Amsterdam, Netherlands which currently operates in more than 350 offices across 40 countries.
Prior to Arcadis. Kendrick spent eight years as a senior HR leader with Walgreens Boots Alliance (WBA) where he designed and implemented a broad range of innovative people strategies that delivered long-term business value both domestically and internationally. Kendrick is a passionate leader who is inspired by purpose-driven organizations, working collaboratively with humility, and being a part of high-performing teams that create inclusive people-centered cultures.
In his free time, beyond spending time with his wife and family, Kendrick can be found walking the neighborhoods of Chicago photographing works created by local and internationally known street artists. His passion for street art has led him to numerous cities across 5 continents meeting and connecting with artists and other street art enthusiasts. He looks forward to being able to share this passion more broadly and contributing to the ongoing mission of Urban Gateways to expand arts education and access to the youth of Chicago helping to inspire creativity and impact social change.
