Tune in to 98.7WFMT on May 22 at 5pm for an in-depth report on Urban Gateways’ new digital media program called Girls Got Game. The report is part of WFMT’s Arts After School, a four-part series profiling public-private arts partnerships that work with Chicago public school students.
UG’s Girls Got Game program, sponsored by the Motorola Foundation, teaches middle-school age girls to design and build a fully-operational PC- based computer game. Girls also explore gender issues and stereotypes within the content of video games. The series is running Sundays at 5pm throughout May.
