The current Malcolm X College building will house the Chicago High School for the Arts (ChiArts) starting in 2015. Read about it in Crain’s Chicago Business, the Chicago Sun-Times, and ENews Park Forest.

The city envisions this new facility as a multi-purpose arts center as well as a home for ChiArts. According to UG’s Executive Director Eric Delli Bovi, “Achieving a permanent home for the Chicago High School for the Arts is a critical step in establishing an anchor for the promotion of arts education across all Chicago Public Schools. Utilizing additional space to house arts education service providers and advocacy groups can also create the opportunity for a higher level of collaboration and support that can ultimately increase resources for arts programs across the city.”
