The Chicago Learning Exchange wrote about their continuing Youth Digital Media Activism (YDMA) initiative, supported by the Robert R. McCormick Foundation; as part of this initiative, Urban Gateways and Street Level will partner with Chicago Votes using YDMA funds to continue a 2018 project which allows young people to explore sharing civic and digital media knowledge. Young people involved in the project will work to create a compelling video narrative that raises awareness around the voting rights efforts within the Cook County Jail.
