From Mexico to China, and back to Chicago – An art adventure at Carter School

Third and fourth grade students at William Carter Elementary (in Chicago’s Washington Park community) delved into myriad cultures through the visual arts: Aztec, Chinese, Native American and more.

Teaching artist Karen Light showed them how cultural rituals throughout the centuries and all over the world have included the visual arts for her ‘Rituals Art Class.’
