UG Artist James Jankowiak Opens Exhibition at Johalla Projects

Urban Gateways is consistently proud to collaborate with amazing Chicago artists from all disciplines for our classroom residencies and tours, and we’re always looking to support their work! UG teaching artist James (Casper) Jankowiak will be presenting his exhibition “The Profane Illumination” at Johalla Projects (1821 W. Hubbard, Suite 110) April 6 to May 4. The opening reception is Friday, April 6 from 7-10 pm. View paintings that “thoroughly explore the scintillating relationship between the artist’s hand, retinal reaction and the intricacy of the line with which it is connected”.

Also, listen to Casper in an interview with Jesse de la Pena on Vocalo! Here he discusses his personal artistic background, as well as details of his artwork and installations.
