Virtual Arts Learning allows young people, as well as their families and community members, to continue growing and developing their creativity in any learning environment – remote or in-person.

Virtual Arts Learning with Urban Gateways includes both Virtual Workshops and Virtual Residencies, with Residencies comprising a series of instructional livestreams, videos, or a combination of the two that build upon one another. These programs provide direct instruction by Urban Gateways Teaching Artists in dance, music, theater, literary arts, visual arts, or new media.

These programs reflect both the Teaching Artist’s unique skill set as well as the input of the partner; we customize Residencies and Workshops to help meet the goals of the school or partner organization and to ensure that participants can authentically benefit from the experience.

We offer bilingual programming in Spanish as well as other languages, dependent on artist availability. Programs can also highlight cultural art forms.
