The Puppet Place

Touring Performance • Theater

Lively versions of favorite stories, traditional fairy-tales, and original fable filled with fantastical characters and hilarious twists.

The Puppet Place story options include:
Hansel and Gretel: The classic children’s favorite is the story of a brother and a sister who get lost in the woods one night and find a beautiful candy house inhabited by a rather nasty witch. This witch has a magic oven that specializes in turning innocent children into yummy gingerbread cookies. The Puppet Place’s production is accompanied by music from the opera by Englebert Humperdinck.

Magic Onion: Take a beautiful princess and her faithful dog, a wicked magician and his magic onion, a handsome prince, a hungry dragon, and a castle in an enchanted blue forest and you have the makings of a typical fairytale. However, The Puppet Place adds hilarious twists to the plot, throwing all stereotypes to the wind. Music and songs add spice to the popular show.

Peter Rabbit: The Puppet Place presents Beatrix Potter’s gentle story of the little rabbit who disregards his mother’s advice, plays in Mr. McGregor’s garden, and eventually realizes why it is best to listen to parents. A ballet of cabbages, a singing scarecrow, and an actor playing Farmer McGregor join Peter in his escapades.
