Victoria Martinez is an interdisciplinary artist who received her BFA from the Minneapolis College of Art and Design. She focuses on installation, site-specific intervention, screen printing, painting, and collage. She believes in chance and intuition, creating projects for galleries and ephemeral experiences in the urban environment. Martinez works with vibrant colors, pattern-based textiles, and overlooked items, sewing them together to create fresh perspectives. She has recently exhibited at Northwestern University, the Chicago Cultural Center, the Arts Incubator, and Hyde Park Art Center. Upcoming projects include exhibitions at Chicago Artists Coalition and the National Museum of Mexican Art.
