Joy Young

Joy Young is a Chicago-born storyteller and educator, who holds a BA in Fiction from Columbia College Chicago and MA in Writing and Publishing from DePaul University. Her work has appeared in Poetry East, Lunch Ticket, and the LOCUS: VIII Gallery Showcase at The Martin. Not only is she a Teaching Artist for Urban Gateways, she also a poet-in-residence and board member for The Chicago Poetry Center, and the new Chicagoland Regional Coordinator for the Poetry Out Loud Teen Recitation Competition.
