Mays Academy residency churns out musicians and…zoologists?
Englewood has a new sound thanks to teaching artist Amy Lowe. During her after-school music composition residency, Amy first exemplified songwriting technique by using students’ written dreams and aspirations to create a song. Then she helped them to write out the lyrics in more detail and create melodies and rhythms of their own!
The final class recording features such soon-to-be smash hits as We Will Sing and Zoologist. Check them out, it’ll make your day.
