Please Note: In an effort to keep young people, partners, artists, and everyone else we work with safe & healthy, we are not currently offering in-person programs. Learn about Virtual Programs we’re currently offering here.

Led by a teaching artist, Professional Development programs guide educators, youth workers, and administrators in implementing arts-based approaches and teaching practices.

Programs can vary in length and are offered in multiple topics, from learning how to integrate the arts into the daily life of a classroom, to creating hands-on art projects that support building relationships and community. Fill out our Interest Form if you are interested in partnering with us for Professional Development programs.

As part of our trauma-informed approach, Urban Gateways offers professional development opportunities that focus on self-care and address the compassion fatigue often experienced by youth workers and educators in various settings.

Professional Development Programs can be stand-alone experiences or can be combined with other arts learning opportunities, such as ResidenciesWorkshops, and Touring Performances.
