Night Out in the Parks: Songs & Rhythms for Young Children

June 17, 2016 @ 5:45 pm - 6:25 pm

Weisman Park

Join musician Carol Weston in an interactive program of familiar and new children’s songs. Young children will be actively participating as they clap and sing along. “I Know An Old Lady Who Swallowed a Fly”, “Jenny Jenkins”, and other favorites give children a foundation for life-long appreciation of music, and many will continue on reading these songs in story form. Weston also demonstrates the guitar and banjo as well as some additional small acoustic instruments played by volunteers from the audience.

This FREE show is presented in partnership with the Chicago Park District as part of its Night Out in the Parks program. All Night Out in the Parks performances are family-friendly, free, open to the public, and will take place outdoors (weather permitting).
