Tani Prell is a Sustaining Fellows Officer at the Art Institute of Chicago. In addition to being a fundraiser, she is also a student at the Spertus Institute for Jewish Learning, where she is pursuing a master’s degree in Nonprofit Management and Jewish studies. She previously was an arts educator for a Chicago charter school, a Teach for America corps member, and a creative writing major at Macalester College in St. Paul, MN. Her high school students greatly benefited from the opportunities offered by Urban Gateways, so she is excited to be involved in the organization that was transformational for so many of her students. Tani continues to be passionate about the arts and in her spare time enjoys writing, sci-fi, and going to as many plays as possible.
