Jeremy Schaefer is Urban Gateways’ Development Manager; previously held roles with Urban Gateways include Finance & Administration Manager and Performance Programs Coordinator. In addition to his fundraising duties, Jeremy is also an Urban Gateways Touring Artist with three interactive storytelling programs.
Prior to joining the Urban Gateways staff, he served as the Artistic Director and Marketing Director for Imagination Theater, a touring social issues-based theatre company, where he created dozens of interactive programs and facilitated hundreds of performances.
As a performer and playwright, his solo shows have appeared at storytelling and fringe festivals throughout the Midwest and his original plays have premiered at theatres throughout the region. He is the 2018 recipient of the Illinois Theatre Association’s Award for Excellence in Theatre for Young Audiences.
