Storytown Improv Theatre

Storytown has been performing weekly shows in Chicago since 2009 and is a weekly children’s theater staple at Stage 773. Storytown has partnered with The Girl Scouts, Jack and Jill of America, and Big Brothers Big Sisters with performances and workshops geared towards promoting self-confidence, leadership, and team building skills. Storytown focuses on story structure and collaboration with performances at local schools and libraries, the Lincoln Park Zoo, and the Art Institute.

Storytown was founded by Jill Olson. She is an Improv Professor of Merriment with The Laughing Academy and Theater Teacher for Dream Big Performing Arts Workshop. Jill Olson graduated from Towson University with a BA in Theater Arts. She moved to Chicago and studied improvisation and is a graduate of the Second City and iO Training Programs.
