What is TAP?

Teen Arts Pass (TAP) gives young people ages 13-19 $5 day-of-show access to professional dance, music, and theater performances in Chicago and surrounding areas. With your free TAP membership, all you have to do is present your TAP card to the box office of the show you want to see, and as long as it’s not sold out, you can purchase a ticket for $5 cash. It’s that easy!

How will it work?

  1. Sign up online and we’ll send you a membership card.

  2. Consult our website and mobile app (coming soon!) to see a calendar, list, or map of eligible performances at TAP Partner Venues.

  3. Be sure to call the Partner Venue’s box office to make sure tickets are available.

  4. Bring your TAP card, student/state ID, and $5 cash and head to the venue! TAP is a day-of-show program, so tickets can be purchased as soon as the box office opens, up until the show sells out.

  5. Enjoy the show! Tell all your friends!

  6. Repeat steps 2-5 again and again until you turn 20, checking out all the cool performances Chicago has going on!

When will this start?

The official program will launch in May 2018.

How can I get involved?

There are two ways for teens to stay in touch with TAP before May.

  1. Sign up here to receive email updates and alerts once program registration is open.

  2. Apply to be on our very first TAP Teen Council! By joining this group, you will be actively involved in getting TAP off the ground. It is a super cool opportunity to help shape a program that will serve thousands of teens for years to come!
