Bluegrass Music: A Truly American Story

Bluegrass music is one of the few truly American art forms and an integral part of our rich musical history. It has had an immeasurable impact on many musicians and was a critical factor in the creation of Rock and Roll.   Featuring banjo, mandolin, guitar and bass, this music is known for its strong rhythmic drive and heartfelt songs that focus on family, work, religion and the joys and sorrows of day-to-day life. Join  Keith Baumann and the Hard Times Bluegrass Band as they present a lively educational performance that combines musical performance, visual demonstration, audience participation and spoken word.
