Cultural Education Program

The Cultural Education Program (CEP) is a competitive matching grant partnership between Urban Gateways and selected schools designed to establish a sustainable learning environment in which the arts play an integral role.

To that end, CEP aims to give educators the tools to make connections between the fine and performing arts, social sciences and language arts. Through CEP, students and teachers receive training in one of four specific arts disciplines each year: dance, music, theatre and visual arts.

The integration of these disciplines into the curriculum contributes to the creation, understanding and appreciation of art, artists, artistic processes and the roles and foundations of art in cultures and societies.

For more information or to request a grant application, please contact Education Programs Manager Britton Bertran at bbertran@urbangateways.org.
