Tanya Jaramilla manages Urban Gateways’ portfolio of corporate, foundation, and government grant prospects and funders. Her experience includes a background in arts administration as Assistant Director of the Puerto Rican Arts Alliance and as a fundraising consultant for multiple arts and culture organizations, along with several years of management experience in the for-profit sector. She is a native Chicagoan and alumnus of some of its finest institutions – Whitney M. Young High School and DePaul University. She holds a B.A. in Management and Communications along with certifications and training from National Arts Strategies, the Latino Policy Forum and the Kennedy Center for Performing Arts, among others. She dabbles in several art mediums including painting, sculpture, and pottery and has most recently crafted those experiences into elaborate cake designs. When she’s not baking, she can be found riding her bike along the lakefront and plotting her next travel adventure.
