Joseph Kye is a Shareholder at Vedder Price P.C. in the Finance and Transactions group. Joe practices in the areas of mergers and acquisitions, private equity, corporate, securities and business law, focusing on middle-market, public and private company transactions, and financings. Joe serves as the outside general counsel to various privately held businesses, and has advised such businesses on a variety of acquisition, financing, and general business and legal issues. Joe speaks on corporate, private equity, and M&A matters, including presentations at The Entrepreneurship Institute’s Presidents’ Symposium and the American Bar Association’s Annual Meeting. Joe regularly teaches continuing legal education classes and currently serves on Vedder Price’s diversity committee. He has served on the firm’s hiring committee and as the Co-Chair of the firm’s summer associate program. Legal 500 United States has recognized Joe in the Mergers, Acquisitions and Buyouts—M&A: Middle-Market category. He has also been selected by his peers as a Leading Lawyer in Mergers & Acquisitions from 2013 to 2016. Joe has a BA in economics from Northwestern University and a JD from the University of Chicago.
