Artist Bio

Jennifer Green is a graduate of Northwestern University and has performed, directed, adapted, and taught for the past 20 years in Chicago. She was a recipient of the Theatre Communications Group's New Generations Program grant for emerging theatre leaders. Currently, she is the Artistic Director for Piven Theatre's professional adult ensemble and training center. As an instructor, Jennifer has been an artist-in-residence in public and private schools throughout the Chicago area. Green explores the impulse, freedom, structure, and risk of dramatic form. By using theatre games, improvisation, and story theatre techniques, she provides the dramatic tools and vocabulary needed to transform individual actors into an ensemble.
